With a lifelong foundation in yoga, which I began practicing as a young girl, my journey into therapeutic applications of Yoga and Pilates took a significant turn in June 2016, when I experienced back pain due to previous epidural injections.
After discovering the transformative power of Pilates and yoga at Triad Yoga and Pilates Newport Beach, I witnessed significant improvement in my core strength, balance, and coordination.
Inspired by my own healing journey and coming from a family with a strong educational background (my father was a gold medalist yoga teacher and my mother a doctorate professor), I decided to bring Pilates to my hometown of Lucknow, India.
Noticing the prevalence of back pain among women, especially postpartum, in Uttar Pradesh, I aimed to introduce them to the therapeutic benefits of traditional Pilates, as practiced by the BASI community.
After completing my 500-hour Yoga Teacher Training Course Certification, I combined yoga flexibility with Pilates core strengthening techniques to treat back pain in my clients. With over 50 successful cases, I'm driven to share this holistic approach with a wider audience.
As India's healthcare landscape evolves, with the Ministry of Ayush promoting alternative medicine, I'm committed to contributing to this movement through my work in Yoga and Pilates.
